Hi – I found your TTM Squeeze Scan looking for an indictor that would given audible alert when the squeeze indicator changes color. Your indicator is great, but I still need an audible alert when the Squeeze change color. TOS has an alert for entering the squeeze and exiting the squeeze, but I have it does not work and their support team has not been able to fix it for me. Any assistance would be great. Thanks in advance.

It has been 3 and half years since this question was posted. I never did hear back from the author of the post as to the additional details I requested in the comment section above. But I see this post is getting a very large number of views so I decided to post a solution of my own here. I will try to cover every possible detail so that I can help as many viewers as possible. The alert for TTM_Squeeze first green dot does work. If it is not working for you I hope this post will help you understand what part of your settings is preventing this from working. At the most basic level, if the TTM_Squeeze alerts are not working for you, then none of the chart based alerts are working for you. Attached screenshot below shows an alert being posted to the message center for the ticker symbol "EA". Right after that screenshot is another that shows the alert settings for the TTM_Squeeze chart study. I have adjusted them from the default values to ensure the alerts are triggered each time the dots change from red to green. The next set of screenshots show how to use the Condition Wizard to build a custom scan based on the first green dot. You can use that for a custom scan but you can also apply this to a Study Alert. If you are not familiar with using the Condition Wizard, the following video will get you up to speed: https://www.hahn-tech.com/thinkorswim-condition-wizard/ If you are looking for a scan based on the first red dot, you can simply reverse these two conditions. The last screenshot shows the Application Settings. This is accessed from the "Setup" menu at the upper right corner of the main platform window. In order for notifications to work on the platform you need to make sure everything is setup correctly here. Most of the settings on this page only deal with sms/email/push notifications. But if you want to use any of the alerts and notifications tools on Thinkorswim you will want to make sure everything is setup here. Well I think that should cover everything. This post has been viewed nearly 1,000 times since it was published and so far not even one individual has provided any comment, feedback or additional questions. Perhaps they have all found solutions elsewhere in the forum. Marked as spam

Before getting into this we should clarify a few things. You have mentioned that the TTM Squeeze comes with an alert, built in. And you mention that you contacted support and they have not been able to get it working on your installation. So a modification of the existing code is not likely to correct the issue. So let’s begin by defining exactly what you mean by ”it does not work”. Have you been able to get alerts from other studies to work?
The alerts will not trigger if the TTM Squeeze is assigned to a watchlist column or used in a scan. Have you applied the TTM Squeeze to a live intraday chart during market hours?
