Hi Pete. In a previous post you created a watch list code which shows when a Hull Moving Average changes direction. Here is the previous post link : https://www.hahn-tech.com/ans/wl-for-hull-in-tos/

Can you assist me with setting up a scan that looks for stocks in which the shorter term HMA trend has recently changed and is now in line with a longer term trend. More specifically I am looking for:

  1. Stock has a Weekly Hull Moving Average that is green (ascending) on a weekly timeframe.
  2. On the daily timeframe the HMA has just now moved from red to green.

Thank you!

You don't need any custom code solution for this request. You can build this in just a few clicks of the mouse using the Condition Wizard. Details in the following video:

Screenshots below shows the individual steps.

Notice there is no way to reference another time frame using the code in a Study Filter for a scan. You set the time frame at the Study Filter level, before adding your code. So in order to produce a scan that covers weekly and daily time frames you simply add two Study Filters and set each one to a different time frame. Then build your conditions.

Hi Pete. I apologize, I did a poor job explaining my request. I am trying to run a scan in which the weekly HMA trend is Green and the daily HMA has just changed from red to green.

This is precisely the solution I provided. You explained yourself perfectly well the first time. There is no miss-understanding.
