Adding Tickers to watch list automatically;

Hello Pete;

I was wondering if there is a way to add tickers to a watch-list automatically every time a scan trigger? So, I have a scanner that alerts me every time a stock meets my criteria. No, I am thinking of a way to make that ticker get added to the watch list automatically. Is this possible? Thank you.

Step 1: Save the scan

Step 2: Open a watchlist gadget and select the scan you saved in step 1

Result: The saved scan will now run in real time within the watchlist gadget. The list of ticker symbols will updated dynamically in real time as the saved custom scan picks up signals that meet your criteria.

I was trying to edit the question, thank you, I will try that now and get back to you. Is it possible to add code that will clear this list after let’s say 8:00 PM? (Remove all stocks after 20:00. So, it can add a new list for the next day Update: I’ll have to wait until Monday to see if it will work as intended. Thank you. I have donated for the answer. However, I hope you can answer the second part of clearing the list after 8:00PM

This depends entirely on the structure of the scan criteria. Using the steps I described above, the ticker symbol will appear in the watchlist when the scan criteria is satisfied. As soon as the scan criteria is not satisfied the ticker symbol is removed from the watchlist. Everything depends on how that scan is structured. What time frame is used as well as the code that generates the signal.
