Hi,

I have question that I’m really frustrated with. I really tried to do my due diligence by searching your site and watching numerous videos.

I ready your thread on how to modify it set alerts for ParabolicSAR at: https://www.hahn-tech.com/ans/how-to-code-alerts-of-certain-indicators/

I also watched your video on how to set alerts to get email/mobile/sms alerts from your ichimoku video: https://www.hahn-tech.com/thinkorswim-alert-ichimoku/

I also read the latest thread on the ParabolicSAR: https://www.hahn-tech.com/ans/parabolicsar-alert/

I tried to put everything together to make it work, but I still can’t, for the life of me, figure out how to get the alerts ParabolicSAR that you code in the https://www.hahn-tech.com/ans/how-to-code-alerts-of-certain-indicators to be sent to SMS/email/mobile.

Can you show me how to do this? Or what I need to add to the custom study to make the conditional wizard work?

Thank you so much for your help.

The only way to achieve this is to build a custom scan. If your goal involves something else, such as the Study Alert found under the MarketWatch tab, then you have no solution. The only way is through creating a custom scan, saving it, then generating the dynamic alert from that custom scan that you saved.

For the last part of that, creating the dynamic alert, have you watched the section of video referenced in the previous post?

Details explained beginning at the 29:50 mark of the following video: https://www.hahn-tech.com/thinkorswim-overnight-range-scan-alert/

Let’s see if that clears up the confusion. If not, let me know and I’ll see if I can provide a more detailed explanation.

Hi Pete,

I forgot to add that link to one of the videos I watched also. I watched the entire video and watched it from the 29:50 point several times of https://www.hahn-tech.com/thinkorswim-overnight-range-scan-alert, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. I must admit, I’m a complete newbie when it comes to coding, scripts, etc. Thank you so much for your assistance.

You know I’ve been thinking. There is no way I can post a series of screenshots here in the forum that could do a better job. The video describes it far more clearly than anything I could hope to present here. So I have to say that video is your only hope. Take your code for the ParabolicSAR and build a scan. Then follow the instructions in the video to create a dynamic scan. Sorry to say it, but if that doesn’t get you there the only thing left is a screen sharing session.
