Inside bar , first bar that closes above / below the mother bar?

Using inside bars, Is there a way to scan for the first bar that closes above / below the mother bar? Usually price action will bring it back in to the range of the mother bar within a few bars after the close above / below and then take off in the direction of the bar closing that you scan for. This would be a good way to get good entries and limit risk. Is this possible? Thanks

Not sure how the mother bar is defined. I could guess that it’s the bar preceding the inside bar? At any rate, before proceeding go ahead and view a similar post we answered on inside bars and see if your answer is already there. Perhaps just a tweak or two will get you up and running.
