Reverse a position in a strategy

I hope you are all staying safe and thank you for all the help so far. I have a strategy that will long and then short. Only issue is it shorting on the next bar. I would want it to just reverse on the same bar that is sold on and then visa versa when covering the short to go long? Can someone possibly shed some light?

This is a setting. Edit Studies -->> Click the gear icon, then scroll down to the "orders" section at the bottom. The orders have three settings. "Auto", "To Open" and "To Close". Set your order types to "Auto" and IF you have both buys and sells on the same strategy it will cause the strategy "stop and reverse" instead of exiting long before going short and vise versa.

Thank you so much. One more question if you don't mind. How can I reinvest the profits if any into the strategy to see if there is a good compounding return?

That feature is well beyond the capabilities of Thinkorswim. The platform does not support anything related to portfolio management.

Thank you again so much. For the strategy is there anyway to have it execute on the initial flicker of the study change and not the bar close or open?
