First I like to say I’m so GLAD I found this site. It’s amazing how Pete is a master with TOS scripts. It appears that no one has asked about a Seasonality scan. Is it possible for a scan to rank stocks for each month? Can this be done for options too? Thanks in advance!

As I ponder this request, my first thought is that this would be be largely a manual process. You could use our relative strength scan: https://www.hahn-tech.com/thinkorswim-scan-relative-strength/ That scan allows you to select a specific date as a reference point. It will return a list of stocks that are trending higher than the comparison symbol (typically this is an index such as SPX or SPY). However since I have never really tried to compare stocks on a seasonal basis I probably lack the vision to see a clear solution. Perhaps you can explain how such a comparison would be conducted? Thank you for your response Pete but relative strength is not what I’m looking for. Stockcharts.com has a seasonality tool that shows how a stock does in a particular month over X number of years. Unfortunately, they don’t have a scan ability. For example, NVDA has been up in the month of May for 6 consecutive years with an avg return of 15.3%. There’s stocks that for the most part does very well in a certain month. I was hoping there was a way in TOS to scan for such stocks in any given month over an X number of years.
