hi hahn, you’re a programming genius. thanks for all of the information.. i’m looking for a function/study that tells me when the SMA is no longer increasing or ( inversely decreasing ), i.e. SMA (20 period) is no longer ascending in price. similiar to a macd i suppose but just using a singular moving average…. can you help please! (thinkorswim)

Please search first before posting your question. Your request is extremely common. However you have left out quite a bit of detail. You are posting this in the Chart Studies topic. So one would assume you are requesting a Chart Study. However your actual question is: “tells me when the SMA is no longer increasing”. So exactly how should it “tell” you? That could mean an alert for a Chart Study, or a custom Scan. Or a Study Alert. Something else?
