Very early movement Premarket 7am-8am scanner

Hello Hahn,

One thing I have noticed in TOS is that the current days premarket activity is not represented as a candle on the daily candle chart (D)  as you may know.

As a result of this , my question is how can i modify the EMA  lines in the screenshot  of the scan below to use the “mark price” instead of the close price. I want the scan to detect when the “mark price” of a stock is trading above the of the 200, 50, 20, AND 9 EMA’s on the daily chart for that stock.

Next, I would also like  watchlist column that compares the current premarket volume of a stock vs its last 10 premarket periods only. This can be represented as a percentage .

For example if Facebook normally trades at 5000 shares premarket by 7:45est  but is now trading 10,000 shares at 7:45 est. I would like a watchlist column that shows the abnormal increase in volume as a percent.

Thank you

Best

Ok, let’s clear up a few things.

The “Mark” price and the “Close” price. The mark price only exists as a built in column you can add to a watchlist. It does not exist within Thinkscript. For Thinkscript, we simply access the close of the current bar. If that happens to be a live bar that value is equivalent to the “mark” price. Except when evaluating a Daily or higher time frame.

It is impossible for a Study Filter to access intraday data when set to a Daily or higher time frame. So all of those study filters you have set to “D”. There is no way to force them to read extended hours data. Impossible.

As to your second request. That would be a separate post altogether.Understood? You have a request relating to a scan, then you ask for a watchlist column. An entirely different topic. But there is no need to repost that part, we can not accomplish that goal. Not as precisely as you have specified. And the solution would be far to complex to provide in the free Q&A forum.
